10.30am- left home to go to the library. tuned into the radio and hear mahvesh hosting ayesha alam's coffee party.

she's talking about how people spend an exhorbitant amount of money on weddings-money that could hbe used to help someone-she quoted figures that really made me sit up.

this season, two arab (i dont know how much that is in english, but i know its a lot) rupees would be spent on weddings this season alone in lahore.
woah.
i mean really. woah.
how can people?!
i mean, my sister is getting married this december and i dont agree with everything she's doing (2 mayoons, 1 mehndi, 1 wedding/nikkah thingie, 1 valima and 1 chohti dinner= 5 events) and she knows that. in fact, she's angry at me because i think she thinks im not happy for her. i am, but i dont see the point of having such a long wedding (although technically it doesnt last for more than a week).
she was also the first to volunteer and donate from amongst us.
earthquake and needy people aside, i personally would want the shortest wedding possible and i know how that can be attained:
nikkah during the day and valima at night
finito!
and im married and done with the wedding. what more could one want? i.e if i get married. i dont see myself married in the future at the moment though.
10:45am- arrive at the library t find it closed. the main library area at least. we get to use the conference room, auditorium, newspaper room (my favorite place) or the children's library (with all of its cute little tables and chairs, tv and bean bags... aww).
reading readers digest. i get inspired by inspiring people out there and at the moment its charlize theron. i love people who go out and do something instead of those who sit and dont do anything. go getters.
01:26- am on a wild creative high nowadays. my head is bursting with ideas and i feel filled with a magic that is dying to slip out through my fingertips. this energy that is, waiting to be released.
i love colours. all kinds. i want to redo my room and of the furniture. damn. why am i not studying interior design? why business?
paint my bathroom orange. a mixture of a lighter and a darker shade of orange. draw a complex vine on the borders above-colours: dark brown and different shades of green. small coloured bottles on the windowsill. deep red and deep blue. i dont think im describing it well, i need to paint this-water colours-damn why did i not pursue art? (even though im not an artist!)
brb bathroom break.
(still in library, will use cafetaria bathroom)
01:47pm- back from bathroom.
i've always wanted to build up my own library of books, CDs & LPs and what not. hhmmmm... still an bit on that creative high although i should be studying. economics and marketing and god knows what not. and i have to stop conjuring up imaginary meetings with he-who-must-not-be-named.
my (current) goals in life:
1. amazing business woman.
2. have a firm of my own-be self employed somehow-either in something to do with marketing, creative work or in the service industry (specifically coffee).
3. be a kick ass musician.
4. be a kick ass interior decorator.
5. have a very creative home.
6. be a kick ass photographer.
7. be an amazing writer.
8. help humanity ("mankind" is now officially reserved for man-kind)
9. live in a place surrounded by greenery and trees-somewhere near the city but not quiet-could be called a nice recluse away from all the craziness.
10. have/maintain stong emotional/communicational (is that a word bayl?) ties with all close/old friends.
11. hhmm....
... i really should study.
