yesterday i went to 89 to collect my book and internship letter. ended up having an almost 45 minute conversation with mr. saif T on the development of the radio industry, the amount of coverage being given to it, economic analysis and so on bla bla... awesome discussion. also talked about creativity in promoting ground presence and how that can be done. had some ideas that i shared. damn, i love marketing :)went to shagufta to collect my book :) since i knew it was supposed to be a personalised autographed copy, i opened the cover, saw a sticker of city fm89, turned the first page saw to ali something something, bla bla bla from kamila...
...!!! wtf?!?!
shagufta covered her mouth with her hand,
i didn't see that! i just gave the book out to the guy!
omg-ing, i was like
im going to complain!
shagufta
to whom?
me:
insiya!
shagufta:
*laughs*
i half jumped and half ran to where insiya was, in between the blubbering and stammering (i was a little shocked, a little amused and well, a certain portion of the 89 makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable and.... in extreme cases, i stammer-i hate it)... i tried to communicate the error. ended up opening the page and pointing to the name with "thats not MY name! HE has MY book!"
talha laughed.
insiya took the matter to mahvesh.
mahvesh said it can be corrected.
shagufta called the dude who took my book up, asked him if he opened the book and saw the name madeeha there, to which he said yes, and shagufta asked him as to why didnt he complain or say anything? to which i dont know what he said but he's coming to 89 today to return MY book and take HIS.
im supposed to go there tomorrow.
to think a book could cause so much activity!
insiya gave me a look (we shall not speak of why) that makes me smile and get all giggly. the i know what your really upto madeeha look.
the only other person capable of that look is my father.
& he uses it everytime he suspects there is a certain someone im interested in, and even if im not, i end up giggling which confirms his suspicions encouraging him to tease more.
