it was a night to remember.
i'm sure all the bloggers out there will be blogging about the concert last night.
at 12.30ish am early into the morning of january 29th, afriend called to tell me he would be going to the concert and that i can come with him! HURRAY!!!...
went over the whole plan of when/how/what bla bla to get there (the country club). we were supposed to leave his house by 2 and reach the arena by 3. we actually left at 3 and reached the arena by 3.55pm. we were one of the first bunch to arrive along with this group of seemingly A-level school students, each sporting a one lettered shirt-if put together spelt "bryan adam".
got a nice place to sit... walked around, had pizza, pepsi, chicken roll and magnum....chai and what not. being the genius that i am, i was wearing 4 inch block heels (my dancing shoes, and i'm a tiny person, 5'2.5 and my jeans were rather long, so the shoes hid in them). later took them off and walked around the arena barefoot. was fun. the grass was clean.
met up with the the musik crew and the moment i did, the concert started or seemed to at least. there was a one hour delay. the friend i initially came with had been seperated from me by several hundred people. met up with yet another friend amongst the hubla bubla... i was 3 people away from the front.
bryan came and rocked everyone's underwear off!
damn, i would have thrown mine had i known how to take it off without revealing myself to the world *blush*.
also happened to be with annoying singer of small band that has been around for a long time, with only one hit. he would stretch the notes of all the songs bryan sang and would criticise shezad's singing. to me, he was trying really really hard to prove to everyone that he could sing.
some girls cried, some went crazy, some hyper-ventilated and hugged their boyfriends and some jumped on top of their shoulders. some pubescent-no chest hair-boys took their shirts off (i think bryan excited them more than he did the girls-for a split second, a look of great amusement passed his face when he saw them). i err on the other hand had no boyfriend to hug or jump onto (the singer would have been more than just happy to act as one!). rocker friend was here from dubai so ended up sharing a mutual look amongst ourselves whenever we saw someone go crazy.
hhmmm.... i'll try to think of the magical moments. the crowd knew ALL of the lyrics to his songs. and they were keeping up with him perfectly...
magical moment 1: bryan asked to see everyone's mobiles. a hundred small shiny white lights lit up. when i looked behind me, i felt like the stars had come down from the heavens and were swaying to his music.
magical moment 2: a cute little pink shirt-ed school girl was asked to come on stage and sing "baby when ur gone" with bryan. seeing the look on her face, her waving to her friends and the incredibly cute way in which she sang was.... a moment when one cant help but laugh out and go awww....
why didnt i get chosen? a) i was wearing black, would have been difficult to seperate me from the crowd b) i really am tiny and the people i was surrounded by were very tall. i doubt he would have been able to see me. c) the pink girl was just too cute! (rocker friend disagreed, but i waved him off).
magical moment 3: bryan's guitarist flinging up his guitar in the air and catching it.
magical moment 4: bryan and his bandmates bowing befor everyone.
magical moment 5: bryan doing his slow melodies, one person on the guitar.
magical moment 6: bryan & his lead guitarist doing "do you really love a woman" & the crowd following it to perfection.
magical moment 7: bryan bryan bryan...
it was a night to remember. a day and a night. started at 8ish pm and & at 11.10-ish pm. i loved the security. i loved the organisation.
went we turned around to go back. i saw the arena full of people. over fifteen thousand people had shown up. took a couple of steps towards a mound and the moment i stepped on it, there was a loud bang and fireworks erupted all over. i have seen a lot of fireworks but these were beautiful.
thank you bryan!
thank you zindagi trust.
thank you city fm89...
