a night with pink floyd ;)

so last night (september 22nd, '05) i went to one of the amazing live performances ever. "a tribute to pink floyd" organised and hosted by ummm... organised and hosted by uh "closer" *raising eyebrow*... oh right, organised and hosted by "above"-which at first, i thought was an event management company but its the name of the iba band that performed yesterday. one of the bands anyway... from iba... it has that peshawar pixie guy from iba on the guitar and vocals.

MIRAGE also performed. i have never been soo proud of hasan, rehan and mr.magic fingers keyboard (im really bad at remembering his name). i somehow feel hasan and i have found a way to bond- lets talk about music -and not just over the internet. what i love about hasan is that we have always had this comfort level, even if we didnt do things together or had amazing bonding sessions. maybe it comes out of just knowing someone for so long...
... and rehan has the voice of an angel... i know it sounds gay on a guy, but he has one of the most amazing voices ever.
sometimes i think the band needs a slight makeover -like a more hip look- but since a look doesnt just come into my mind when i think of them, so im going to leave it (this opinion) be.

zak (i hope u dont mind me calling u this), as usual, was a god on stage. i took some awesome pics which i will upload later. u cant see anyone in them though. the performers have come out in black with a colored background. as soon as i find out a way to work the hello picassa thingie on my computer, i shall upload them on this blog or some other blog i dont know.

so i had a great time hanging out and catching up with insiya. this time i actually saw her in action. making her lil notes. i love that about her. i love the fact that shes so amazing and that creativity "flows" from her :) :) :) insiya ROCKS!

and oh! i volunteered to be security. collectin tickets and checkin stamps and all. i loved bullying people around but some people just wont be bullied. and to some, it was just too easy. i loved the women who came. they were all super cool. there was this one woman in this plain pink-red outfit, pink-red scarf over her head, very pretty: totally awesome.

she wanted to keep 2 of her tickets as souveniers.

and in case the spelling of "soveniers" is wrong-than i probably know it. i suspect its wrong, but i cant be bothered to check what the actual spelling is.

and oh! how could i forget, insiya got me to talk to zak... and he rememebered me from 89! and he rememberd the photo shoot that we did with saman when i was 6! that was enough to make my day. the god had acknowledged the existance of his tiniest fan ever, who, lets face it, is not so tiny anymore ;)

i went home tired, but relatively happy. refreshed, but i missed the connection that i normally feel with the music (not the channel) when i go to such concerts. but with every event comes a new lesson. and i must learn to sit and enjoy the moment instead of trying to rush around and build my social circle.

sometimes, when ur sitting there, in the crowd, listening to music that is as true and as soulful as music can get, delivered beautifully... it has the power reach within you. and that is real music. and that is how true legends evolve...

mera pyar tum hi ho,
tum hi to ho...
