i found this hilarious in a somewhat freaky way:
Your Blog Blows, and Here's Why
1) You aren't kamikaze enough to risk your career by revealing the soul-crushing abdurdity of your job.
2) You aren't sufficiently vain or presumptuous to declare yourself a hot twentysomething female (even if its true).
3) You lack a diagnosed sleep disorder, minor substance abuse problem, mercurial tempreament, and/or innate desire to alienate loved ones.
4) You're not ready to declare on the Internet what you really think about the hypocrites nesting in your life.
5) You have yet to explore the wonders of shameless self-promotion, groveling, and media whoring. Profiles in The New York Times don't always come for free.

logged in on Chowk after the longest time and saw that almost every topic on the main page was about one war or the other. topics ranged from israel and lebannon to israel and palestine, conflicts within kashmire, taliban waging war against non-talibans, peace-processes gone bad or something or the other. two topic did manage to grab my attention: "Sustainable peace through more killing" by Iftikhar Mufti and "Cannibalising your own" by Bhaskar Dasgupta.
i haven't read the articles yet, but both the topics were very disturbing. you cant do one right by doing one wrong. you cant.

sabizak: me too. i was tempted to highlight it ;)
i love the 2nd one...its so true! most of the insanely popular blogs of women have pictures of themselves all over the place to show that 'not only am i super smart, insightful and profound, i'm incredibly hot too!'.
haha, i like that..those 5 points i mean :) and about one right by doing one wrong..hmm, that's debatable. i mean, generally i'd tend to agree with you but ya know, sometimes..just sometimes, a wrong might not be "right" but it'll help someone feel better and maybe that's okay then...i'm not sure though, so don't hold me for it! :)
oh n' thanks for commenting on my blog a couple of days (or has it been weeks?!) ago...you're right..what you said on it, i mean...one-sided emotions hurt horribly, but maybe the other person knowing and not feeling anything for you would hurt worse...so maybe this is better :)
