You're not a rockstar,
But you can see yourself up there.
Under the bright light
You feel you're the reason.

(Chorus)
So throw away that bag of gold,
Listen to what your music holds.
It's a melody only you can feel,
You're about to be the King of Self.

— taken from King of Self by Sajid and Zeeshan

last night, i experienced one of the most amazing live performances ever. and yes, i will be writing about it. two amazing amazing people and very good friends of mine, sajid and zeeshan had their pre-launch gig last night at the royal rodale. and they rocked like it was no one's business.

this is to:
— zeeshan, the most un-assuming, extremely talented deejay i've ever come accross.
— to sajid, who's full of surprises, composes and sings with emotion, and who played with amazing versatility, even after breaking a nail.
—to three days of complete madness in organisation, making guest-lists, driving non-stop, last minute wardrobe crisis, soundcards and amplifiers screwing up, to the sheeshas and the humuses...
— to have everything that could go wrong, go wrong.
— to completely freaking out right before the performance.
— to being wow-ed from the very first second of them performing.
— to watching close friends turn into rockstars...

... to sitting squeezed between friends and guitars in the car, and sharing a look that instantly tells you that no matter what happens, at the end of the day, the rockstar will always always be the same person you've known him to be.
