UPDATE: Weather Advisory No.2 for Sindh / Balochistan
(Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert) Sindh: Yesterday’s Monsoon Weather System (deep depression) over Indian Gujarat has entered in North Arabian Sea and now lies at a distance of about 150 km South of Karachi. It is likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone during next 6-12 hours. This system is likely to move in a West / Northwesterly direction. Under its influence widespread rains / strong gusty winds with scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall are likely in Sindh especially in Southern Sindh and coastal areas including Karachi. Sea conditions will be very rough to extremely rough along Sindh coast. Fishermen are advised to stop fishing activities till 27th afternoon. Irrigation authorities may further reduce the canal discharges.

at work right now and i call up close friends/people i think who may be at risk. i was alerted by lil sis who wants me to come home asap. so i call up all the people i know and who i think should know and so on. one of them happens to be this close photographer friend of mine. this is how the conversation went:
me: hello?
AJ: yo, whats up?
me: are you home?
AJ: at the moment.
me: okay, stay PUT!
AJ: for how long?
me: err... all night?
AJ: eh?
me: look, there is a cyclone thats going to hit and a terrible terrible storm. people in clifton are being asked to evacuate their homes. stay PUT.
AJ: but i wanted to photograph it!
me: your nuts! *cant help but laugh as well*
AJ: i got really good photos of saturday. i was thinking of taking photos today too.
me: do you want me to send you the forecast?
AJ: yes.
me: PLEASE stay home.
AJ: send me the forecast.
me: ok
*emails him forecast*
**sends the following text: i hope you know i think your completely nuts. and that's kinda sexy too ;) **
